While health professionals do have a very wide scope of knowledge in their specific fields, cross-over knowledge can be tricky as advanced courses are required and can be endless. Even within a certain field, there are a plethora of techniques, new technologies and new research. The eyes can only see what the mind knows! OMT requires advanced training. Its training builds on the education, knowledge and experience of specific professions, making it a specialized therapy. However you found yourself here, be it a referral from another professional or someone else that has some knowledge of the orofacial complex - consider it a gift!

Yes. Ideally, the program would be done in person so that I can get a first hand view and interaction without outside interference or unintended manipulation of movements/muscles. The comprehensive OMT evaluation should be done in person as there are many measurements, photographs and observations that are best done by the OMT. It is not impossible to have the entire course of treatment, from evaluation to end of therapy, done virtually. I am happy to help clients in all areas, so access to treatment should be a priority.

    • Myofunctional therapy works for almost anyone. While OMT works better for children and

    adolescents because their bones are rapidly growing, this treatment is still incredibly beneficial

    for adults.

    if you will have coverage. If you have a Health Spending Account, it is likely to be covered
